@torproject I always thought TOR was an acronym of The Onion Router (therefore must be written with upper-case letters).
I know some people who write "ToR" and I keep catching myself using it, too and, well, yeah.
Note: even though it originally came from an acronym, Tor is not spelled "TOR". Only the first letter is capitalized. In fact, we can usually spot people who haven't read any of our website (and have instead learned everything they know about Tor from news articles) by the fact that they spell it wrong.
@torproject i was taught Tor means hill in a non-english language. TOR meant "the onion router". why and when the change?
@ggus i read that article when i was a wee before that international police operation to seize exit nodes) and it did not stick ... non sequitur
